About:
The Moorland Hotel
Welcome to The Moorland Hotel, a timeless Dartmoor country hotel set beneath the iconic Haytor Rocks.
Rooted in Dartmoor history and surrounded by open moorland, The Moorland Hotel is beautifully placed for guests who want to explore, unwind and enjoy one of the National Park’s most recognisable landscapes.
With Haytor just above the hotel and Bovey Tracey only a short drive away, it’s a brilliant base for walking, relaxing and making the most of this much-loved part of Dartmoor.
The hotel offers stylish and comfortable rooms, including classic, superior and deluxe options, with dog friendly rooms available on request. Inside, guests will find a warm welcome, traditional character and relaxed spaces to settle into after a day out on the moor.
Food and drink are a big part of the experience, with modern British dining in the restaurant, relaxed meals in the bar, Sunday roasts, afternoon tea and seasonal events throughout the year. Dogs are welcome in the bar, making it an easy choice for walkers and four-legged guests too.
For Dartmoor Partner members and staying guests, The Moorland Hotel fits beautifully with what we’re building. It’s the kind of place that helps turn a walk into a full day out, with somewhere welcoming to stay, eat, drink and enjoy Dartmoor properly.
