About:
Moor Imagination Centre
Moor Imagination Centre, known locally as MIC, is a community space for creativity, connection and collaboration in the heart of Buckfastleigh.
Based in the former Methodist Church on Chapel Street, MIC brings together people, ideas and activities in a flexible and welcoming setting. The programme changes throughout the year and includes workshops, classes, community projects, performances, family activities and events, alongside spaces that can be used by local groups and organisations.
The Lounge at MIC is the centre’s community café, serving seasonal homemade food, organic barista coffee and sweet treats. The menu is wholefood and plant forward, with locally sourced and organic ingredients used wherever possible, while some meat and dairy options are also available.
For families, MIC is especially useful because there is often something different happening. Creative sessions, community events and activities for a range of ages make it worth checking the What’s On page when planning a visit to Buckfastleigh.
Its town centre location also makes MIC easy to combine with nearby Dartmoor Partner routes around Hembury Woods, Penstave Copse, Shipley Bridge and the wider southern Dartmoor area.
A friendly, flexible community space for food, events, activities and spending time together in Buckfastleigh.
